The DAI Leaders Meeting will be on Thursday August 22^nd at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (3811 Oak Lawn Ave.)  We will meet from 7pm to 8:30pm in Trinity Hall (follow the DAI signs).

The first issue will be an update on the organizing work in Bachman Lake apartments.  DAI leaders are facing retaliation because of their attempts to improve the apartments.  We will provide an update on meetings with the City of Dallas, lawyers, and media.  We will also look at next steps to ensure that Dallas residents live in safe and decent housing. 

Secondly, we will begin preparing for our “From Lament to Hope” listening campaign that DAI will launch this fall.   In this time of turmoil and anxiety, we think it is time for us to reach across the lines that divide us and listen deeply to the concerns of others.  Out of listening to each, we will create an agenda that brings us together to work for the common good.
